Alex W. Kepner
Funeral Director
Alex has been with Kepner Funeral Homes since 2003. He is engaged to Paige Hungerford. He is the 5th generation in the Kepner family to join the firm. A couple of activities Alex enjoys are golfing, tennis, basketball, and hanging out with friends and family.
You can find Alex working at all 5 of our locations, but most commonly at our Elm Grove location or Chapline Street location where his office is located. He not only directs funerals, but he can also wash a car with the best of them!
There are two words he often utters that make Alex an outcast in Wheeling, "GO HOKIES!"

Norma L. Wilson
Secretary for the Kepner Funeral Homes
Service Counselor for Renpek Pet Service.
Norma has been with Kepner Funeral Homes since 1994. She is married to Junior Wilson. Norma enjoys riding and working with her horses along with teaching her grandchildren how to ride. She also enjoys running, bike riding, and rollerblading.
Norma is commonly found working in the front office of our Chapline Street location. Give our Chapline Street location a call sometime (304-232-5110) and there is a good chance you will hear, "Kepners, Norma speaking!"

Karen Hockenberry
Bookkeeper
Karen has been with Kepner Funeral Homes since 1994. She lives in Dallas, WV with her two dogs Teddy and Mufasa. Check out our facebook page to see a picture of them. Karen is the proud mother of three children, Heather, Lori and Eddie. She is a graduate of Wheeling High School and attended West Virginia Northern Community College. Karen enjoys spending time with her family, flower gardening, and cooking. She aslo enjoys helping with community functions such as cancer walks, church dinners, and fundraisers.
Karen's office is located at our Chapline Street building, and she is very instumental in proccessing paperwork and design. When your loved one passes away and you would like a DVD tribute, Karen does an excellent job.

Sue Lesch
Insurance Claim Processor and Preneed Assistant
Sue has been employed by Kepner Funeral Homes since 1999. She is married to Mark Lesch and has two stepchildren, Dawnell McLendon and Josh Lesch. Sue enjoys flower and vegetable gardening and giving away the harvest. She also likes baking, spending time with family, and going to car shows with her husband. Currently, Sue is taking up beekeeping with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law.
Sue's office is located at our Chapline Street building. Insurance can be a very difficult item to deal with, so when you have any questions regarding insurance, Sue is your gal.

Sandy Meyer
Secretary
Sandy has been employed by Kepner Funeral Home since 2000. She is very active with her Church, Elm Grove United Methodist. She enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren, taking them shopping and going to their sporting events. Her son is Craig Myer.
Sandy works at our Elm Grove location. If you walk in anytime during the week you will be greeted by Sandy's smiling face. You will also be greeted by, "Kepner's, Sandy speaking," if you ever call 304-242-2311.

Bob Rose
Funeral Director/Manager
Robert G. Rose is the manager of the Chapline Street (downtown Wheeling) location and co-director of the South Wheeling location. Bob has been with Kepner Funeral Homes since 1995. He began working in funeral service in 1976 where he began working with the former McCoy and Beiswenger Funeral Home in Wheeling. He graduated from Wheeling High School in 1975, attended West Virginia Northern and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is married to Karen Sengewalt Rose of Warwood and the grandparents of two grown daughters, Brandi Lynn Rose and Brittany Nicole Guzzi. A grandson has just been added to the family as well.

Mark Danehart
Funeral Director/Manager
Mark S. Danehart has been an employee of Kepner Funeral Homes since 1991, where he is the manager and funeral director of the Kepner Funeral Home in South Wheeling and co-director our Chapline Street (downtown Wheeling) location. Mark was born and raised in Wheeling, graduated from Triadelphia High School, and attended West Liberty State College. He graduated from the Miami-Dade Community College Mortuary Science Program in 1978. He received his Florida funeral director's license in 1979 and his West Virginia funeral director's license in 1986. Mark is married to Cathy Danehart, who is also employed with Kepner Funeral Homes as Director of Advance Funeral Planning.

Bill Burke
Funeral Director/Manager
William T. Burke, Jr. is the manager of the Kepner Funeral Home Burke Chapel in Warwood. He graduated from Wheeling Central Catholic High School in 1975, attended WV Northern Community College, and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1978. He has been employed at Kepner Funeral Home since 1977. He is the father of two daughters, Andrea and Julie. He is active with his daughters in softball and basketball.

Cindy Sampson
Staff Support
Cindy has been with Kepner Funeral Homes since 1989. She is married to Ned Sampson and lives in the Springdale area of Elm Grove. She enjoys running the Wheeling trails and Wheeling Park Hill, and trips to the beach. She is also an avid reader and a garage sale nut! Cindy is a huge Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Cindy is most commonly at our Woodsdale location (National Road at Bethany Pike) helping out with funerals and making families feel comfortable during visitations.

Linda Dietrich
CPA
Linda has worked as Controller for Kepner Funeral Homes since 1996 and is currently the Corporate Secretary/Treasurer.
She earned Associate Degrees in Accounting and Computer Science at Belmont Tech, then a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration from Wheeling Jesuit University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Notary in W.V. and a member of the AICPA.
Linda lives in Wheeling, WV, and enjoys swimming, camping, walking, gardening and spending time with her 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren.
Linda's office is located at our 1308 Chapline Street location.

Linda Kay McGlumphy

Linda has been an employee for Kepner Funeral Homes since 2009. She resides in St. Clairsville and is married to Joseph McGlumphy. She is a full time Art Teacher at St. Vincent de Paul Parish School. Linda is the Art & Environment Coordinator for St. Vincent de Paul Parish and a St. Vincent de Paul Parishioner. Walking, college football games, and the arts are what Linda enjoys.
Linda commonly works at our Chapline Street location. She may be small in stature, but she has a big smile!

Ted Showalter
Staff Support
Ted has been with Kepner Funeral Homes since 2009. He was born and raised in Wheeling, WV. He has been married to Linda (Brookes) Showalter for 51 years and counting, and together they live in Warwood. Ted has 2 children, Brenda Jackson, who lives in Columbus, Ohio, and Ted Jr., who lives in St. Clairsville, Ohio. The Showalters have 6 grandchildren, one of which is deceased. Ted enjoys golfing, gardening, traveling and spending time with the family. He is a member of the Ohio Valley Christian Soldiers, the Warwood Vets and the Cave Club.
Ted helps out mostly on funeral services. He is usually driving the hearse or the family sedan.
