Mildred J. Burton, 88, resident of Wheeling, WV., passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born June 17, 1921 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Stuart and Rose Huggins Belt. Mildred was a member of the Warwood Christian Church, and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Burton; daughters, Gail Lynn and Billie Jo; sons-in-law, Earl Hall, Ron Kinsel, John Leatherman, and Jerry Long; a sister, and two brother Mildred J. Burton, II.; daughters, Judith Hall, Sandy Kinsel, Patty (Bud) Biddle, Eleanor (David) Feiock, Nina (Ed) Sparks, Debbie Garvin, and Millie (Honey) Walker; a brother, Lawrence Belt; 35 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 23 great- great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6- 8 pm at the Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, where services will be held Friday, 10:00 am with Rev Roger Murfin and Rev. Penny Calmbacher officiating. Interment in Short Creek Cemetery Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
