Nickerson, Eleanor Grace Miller, 90, child of God, went home to her Father on May 4, 2010 in the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling. She was born March 7, 1920, daughter of the late Harold and Nell Miller. She retired former the West Virginia Department of Welfare with 41 years of service. She was an active member of the St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wheeling, having served as council member, lay reader, deacon, elder, and trustee. She was a member of several civic organizations and was an avid gardener and bird lover. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; two brothers, Paul and Frank Miller. Surviving are a daughter, Peggy N. Glaser and her husband, James; a granddaughter, Gretchen Wiethe and her husband, Josh ; her namesake, a great-granddaughter, Eleanor Grace Wiethe and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Elm Grove. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 141 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003. Personal condolences may be offered to the family at www.kepnerfuneral.com. |
