Golden, Alice Elaine Sole, 52, resident of Short 
Creek, WV., passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010 
at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
She was born February 25, 1958 in Martins Ferry, 
Ohio, the daughter of Howard O. Sole, Jr., and 
the late Beulah Justine Burkhart Sole.
Alice was a pastry chef at Wheeling Island 
Casino and Racetrack. She was a Christian.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in 
death by her husband, Gordon Eric Golden.
Surviving in addition to her father is her 
stepmother, Pearl M. Sole; her children, Rachel 
Meaders and her husband, BJ, Annie Futch, and 
Jesse Futch; brothers, Wayne Sole, and Willie 
Sole and his wife, Patty; her sister, Fern E. 
Frye.
Services and Interment will be held at the 
convenience of the family.

Alice’s memory to her sister, Fern E. Frye, 2213 
Pine Terrace, Sarasota, FL. 34231-4431.
