Mortakis, Jonathan Michael, 33, resident of 
Wheeling, WV., died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 
Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle 
Beach, SC.
He was born April 13, 1977 in Waukegan, IL., the 
son of Michael Anthony and Judith Lynn Mortakis.
He was a union bricklayer, and a member of St. 
John, The Divine Greek Orthodox Church.
He was preceded in death by his maternal 
grandparents, James F. and Ruth A. Biggs; his 
paternal grandmother, Angelina Mortakis.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by 
his wife, Jennifer Lynn Bailey Mortakis; his 
children, Chase Patrick, Bailey Lynn, and Troy 
Alexander Mortakis; paternal grandfather, Thomas 
D. Mortakis; brothers, Patrick Joseph, and 
Michael Anthony Mortakis; a sister, Trisha Ann 
Mortakis; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-
8 pm at the Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 
2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV. 304-277-2722. 
Friends then received Friday from 10:00 am until 
time of services at 11:00 am at St. John, The 
Divine Greek Orthodox Church, 2215 Chapline 
Street, Wheeling, with Rev. Eugene V. Rosu 
officiating.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
