Thompson, Hannah “Dorothy” McConaughey, 72, of 
Wheeling, WV., died Tuesday, July 12, 2010 in 
Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling.
	She was born September 30, 1937 in 
Wheeling, WV., the daughter, of the late James 
A. and Hannah B. Tyler McConaughey.
	Mrs. Thompson was a retired nurses aid 
and was a  member of the Warwood United 
Methodist Church.  She was a member of the Moose 
Club in Wellsburg, WV; and was a volunteer at 
Wheeling Medical Park.
	In addition to her parents she was 
preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. 
Thompson and  a son, Jon Eric Thompson.
	Surviving are two daughters, Janet 
Stevens and her husband, Kenneth of Martins 
Ferry, OH and Cindy Peluchette and her husband, 
John of Wheeling; two sons, Donald J. Thompson 
of Wheeling and Douglas Thompson and his wife, 
Carolyn of Wheeling; eleven grandchildren and 
two great-grandchildren.
	Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-
9 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2010 and from 10:30 
until the time of service at 11:30  a.m. on  
Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Kepner Funeral 
Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave, Wheeling, 
304-277-2722 with the Reverend Michael Linger 
officiating.  Interment in Short Creek Cemetery, 
Short Creek. 
	Memorial contributions may be made to 
the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,333 East 
Carson St., Pittsburgh, PA., 15219.
