Stamguts, Paula Jean, 62 of Warwood Ave., 
Wheeling died peacefully after a courageous 
battle with cancer on Sunday, July 18, 2010 in 
the Wheeling Hospital.
     She was born April 14, 1948 in Wheeling the 
daughter of Elizabeth “Betty” Dawson Miller of 
Wheeling and the late Paul B. Miller and was a 
Catholic by faith.
     Paula graduated from West Liberty 
University formerly West Liberty College with a 
BS in Nursing; received her LPN license from 
the  BM Spurr School of Nursing in Glen Dale, 
WV and received her RN license from Mercy 
Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a former RN 
at the OVMC, Wheeling; a former ENT Nurse with 
Doctors Tiu, Dickinson and Matadar and was a 
former Rheumatology Nurse for Dr Vawter.  She 
was a dedicated nurse who cared deeply for her 
patients.
     She was a member of the Junior Women’s Club 
of Wheeling, the SPCA, the Civic Club of 
Warwood, the Red Hatters and the Elm Grove 
Eagles Auxiliary Aeries 1891.  She deeply loved 
all the animals she came in contact with.
     In addition to her mother, she was survived 
by her loving husband of 34 years, Raimond 
Stamguts; her sister, Sandee K. Miller Wilson 
and her husband, Bruce of Mozart; her brothers, 
E.J. Miller and his wife, Linda of Mozart, Greg 
Miller of Bethlehem and Gary Miller and his 
wife, Sandy of Colerain, OH; her nieces and 
nephews, Chris, Amy and Michael Wilson; Michelle 
Bonham and her husband, Aaron; Allison Rice and 
her husband, Dusty, Leigh Ann Stamguts, Kenneth 
Ward and his wife, Rhonda and Stephanie Stahl 
and her husband, Brad and two aunts, Eleanor 
Brennan and Ruth Dawson.
     Friends received on Wednesday, July 21, 
2010 from 6-8 p m and on Thursday, July 22, 2010 
from 2-4 and 6-8 p m at the Kepner Funeral Home, 
166 Kruger St, Wheeling.  Mass of Christian 
Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, July 23, 
2010 at 11 a m at Our Lady of Peace Catholic 
Church, 2 Allendale Rd, Wheeling, WV with the 
Reverend Dennis Schuelkens, Jr as Celebrant.   
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, 
Sherrard, WV.  The Elm Grove Eagles Auxiliary  
will conduct services at 7 p m Wednesday 
evening.  Christian Wake Services will be held 
on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p m.

Morgantown, WV 26501.
