Goldbaugh, Lieutenant William Samuel, Jr., 46, 
of Wheeling, WV., died Sunday, July 18, 2010 in 
Volusia County, FL.
	He was born May 23, 1964 in Wheeling, 
WV., the son of Virginia Sparks Goldbaugh and 
the late William S. Goldbaugh, Sr.
	Lieutenant  Goldbaugh served as 
Lieutenant with the Wheeling Police Department; 
where he served with the accident reconstruction 
department.	
	He graduate of West Liberty State 
College (University) and received his master at 
the University of Cincinnati.	
	Lieutenant Goldbaugh, was a former 
police chief for the Village of Clearview; he 
taught at West Liberty University and at  WV 
Northern Community College; he was past 
President of the FOP; and was pursuing his PhD 
from Capella University.  He had accepted a 
position at Glenville State College as a 
Criminal Justice Director.  He was a volunteer 
with the Warwood Red Birds  baseball and soft 
ball team; was an avid bowler at the Rose Bowl 
Lanes.
	Lieutenant Goldbaugh loved the West 
Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh 
Steelers; he was a member of the  Eagles Aerie 
1891; was a  Christian by faith; and a  U.S. Air 
Force veteran. 
	In addition to his father, he was 
preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, 
Charles and Evely  Goldbaugh; his maternal 
grandparents, Ray and Thelma Sparks.
	He is survived by his wife, Melissa 
Farley Goldbaugh; three sons, Christopher George 
Goldbaugh, Andrew Michael Goldbaugh and Timothy 
Samuel Goldbaugh all of Wheeling; a daughter, 
Nicole Renee Goldbaugh of Wheeling; four 
sisters,  Kimberly Gilbert and her Fiancé Jason 
of Moundsville, WV, Karen Scott and her husband, 
Rick of Triadelphia, Kris Bauer of Moundsville, 
WV and  Kelly Zeroski and her husband, Denny of 
Shadyside, OH; a brother, Robert Ray Goldbaugh 
and his wife, Paula; several nieces and nephews; 
a great-niece and a great-nephew; a brother-in-
law, Chuck Farley and his wife, Missy; two 
nephews, Austin and Nathan Farley and a niece, 
Korrine Farley; and his future grandchild in 
December.
	Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-
9 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Kepner 
Funeral Home, National Road at Bethany Pike, 
Wheeling 304-232-2732. Friends then will be 
received from 10 a.m. until the time of service 
at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Vance 
Memorial  Presbyterian Church, Wheeling, WV. 
with the Reverend Roger Murfin  officiating.  
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
	In lieu of flowers memorial 
contributions may be to, Progressive Bank 
Warwood, 1701 Warwood Ave, Wheeling, WV 26003 
c/o Melissa Goldbaugh.
