He was born in 1943 in Wheeling, WV., the son of the late George and Edna Templin Mulley and was raised in South Wheeling.
Carl was a retired firefighter for the City of Wheeling; was a Protestant by faith and a true patriot. He spent his life serving others. First for his country in the US Navy on the USS America and then for the Wheeling Fire Department as Captain and Training Officer. He touched the lives of many. He never met a stranger. Carl lived life and lived it to the fullest. He was a member of P.A.P. Club, the American Legion Post # 46 Benwood.
The love he had for his family was deep and everlasting. Those who loved him, will carry him in their hearts forever and always.
He was married to the love of his life for 45 years his wife, Leatha Ann Laudermilt Mulley. Carl had an only daughter who he cherished Michele Lee Norman and her husband, Stephen of Glen Dale, WV; a precious granddaughter, Taylor Norman of Glen Dale, WV who he adored; a brother, Dale Mulley of Valley Grove, WV; a sister, Lois Scott and her husband, Ed of Neffs, OH; a niece, Sunni Rae Scott and a nephew, Jesse Scott both of Neffs, OH.
His life will be celebrated with his family and friends at the Kepner Funeral Home, 36th and Jacob St., South Wheeling (304-232-4060) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012 where service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Mark A. Zelewicz, Sr. officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
Moundsville Honor Gaurd will conduct graveside military services.
