She was born June 21, 1937 in Wheeling, WV., the daughter of the late Earl J. Calissie and Catherine "Kate" (Dornon) Calissie.

She was a loving wife, mom, friend, Nana and homemaker.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ebby" Theiss; a brother, Charles "Pete" Calissie.

Surviving are her daughter, Tracey (Theiss) Platt and her husband, William "Bill" Platt.

Her daughter, Cassy (Theiss) Birkett and her husband, Ray Birkett; two grandchildren who were the Loves of her life, Donald "Donnie" Platt and Cassy Marie Platt; and her feathered love, Birdie Boy; a brother, Warren "Lew" Calissie and Margaret (Marge); two step-daughters; five step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a very special friend and sister-in-law, Lola "Dufus" Weisenborn.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, with Pastor Bernie Dunn officiating.
