She was born March 16, 1931 in Wheeling the daughter of the late James A. and Carrie Birkett and was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Wheeling.

Dolores was a retired school cook with Ohio County Schools.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Diss; a daughter, Audrey B. Church and five brothers.

Surviving are a son, Ronald L. "Fritz" Birkett of Wheeling; two grandsons, Jesse Stewart and Rocky; a granddaughter, Heather and several great grandchildren.

Friends are invited to attend services on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 10 a m at the Halcyon Hills Memorial Park Chapel, Sherrard, WV. Arrangements by the Kepner Funeral Home (304 242-2311), 166 Kruger St, Wheeling.
