She was born April 8, 1932 in Marshall County the daughter of the late Oscar and Laura Bartrug Crow.

Evelyn was a high school graduate of Moundsville High School; She was a member of the West Liberty Fire Department Auxiliary; a poll worker for 40 years; very active with the West Alexander Fair and the Ohio County Fair. She loved gardening, her flowers, baking, cooking, her pets and canning. She had a special fondness for children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jackson West in 2001 and a sister, Leota Allen.

Surviving are her three sons, Roger Lee West and Jack Russell West both of West Liberty, WV and Randy Earl West and his wife, Mary of Hopedale, OH; three brothers, Raymond Crow and his wife, Mary and Bernard Crow and his wife, Karen both of Moundsville, WV and Sherwood Crow and his wife, Goldie of Niagara Falls, NY and several special nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 12-3 and 6-8 P M at the Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Rd, Wheeling (302 232 2732) where services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11 A M with the Reverend Dennis Arnold officiating. Interment in Prall Cemetery, West Liberty, WV.
