He was born January 5, 1914 in Wheeling, WV., the son of the late Charles Ford and Mary Barbara Heilmeier Myers.

Mr. Myers was a retired employee for the former Blaw Knox Foundry, Wheeling and a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 58 years, Blanche Mae Nicholson Myers in 1997; and a granddaughter, Vicki Marie Myers.

Surviving are four children, John C. Myers and his wife, Alice, Steve R. Myers and his wife, Carol, Bina M. Myers and Rich Geary all of Wheeling, WV., and Dave W. Myers and his wife, Sandi of Inverness, FL; a sister, Charlotte Crow of Warwood WV; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his cat, Jack.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling (304-232-2732) where service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Margie Carr officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
