She was born March 9, 1947, in Wheeling, daughter of the late Wilbur and Margaret Weidman Yahnke.
Peggy liked baking, crocheting, reading, crafts, but she really enjoyed her flower gardening.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Bom.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, G. Ray Baker; four children, Ray Baker and his wife Lisa of Los Angeles, CA, Keith A. Baker of Wheeling, Michelle Feathers and her husband Dr. Chris Feathers of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kevin C. Baker of Wheeling; two grandchildren, Madison and Makala Baker; six brothers, Jim, Wilbur, Tom, Jack, Greg, and Dennis Yahnke; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Friday, February 1, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, with Father Frank O'Kruta serving as celebrant. Interment in the chapel at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
