BOBER, Sophia Stella Kuca, 92, of Wheeling, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling.
She was born August 18, 1920 in Wheeling WV., the daughter of the late John and Caroline Kocur Kuca Sr.
She was a member of St Alphonsus Catholic Church, a member of the former St Ladislaus Catholic Church, South Wheeling and a Thursday Night Ladies Guild.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank John Bober in 1995, five brothers, Michael, Matthew, Frank, John Jr. and Joseph, two sisters, Cecilia Harris and Mary Bober, two sons-in-law, Simone DePasquale and Philip Ray.
Surviving are a son, Ambrose Bober and his wife Sharon of Wheeling, two daughters, Gloria DePasquale of Fort Wayne, IN., Terri Ray of Hope Sound, FL., a brother, Eddie Kuca of Benwood, two sisters, Blanche Richard of Wheeling and Ann McNeil of Weirton, six grandchildren, Michele Ray Harris, Jason DePasquale, Lisa Miehle, Justin DePasquale. Jonathan Ray and Alicia Himmelrick, nine great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday February 24, 2013 from 4 - 8 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, (304)242-2311. Rosary Devotions will be said at 7 p.m. on Sunday.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10 am at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling,  with the Rev.  John P Mulcahy as celebrant. Interment in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eternal Word Television Network, (EWTN), 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210; or Liza’s Place, 308 Mt. St. Joseph Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
