Bennett, Catherine Ruth Lauffer, 86, of Wheeling, passed away Tuesday February, 14, 2012 at her home.

She was born August 2, 1925 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Henry P. Lauffer and Mary Vogt Lauffer.

Catherine was a member of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Scott Bennett; a son, Michael Patrick Bennett; a brother, Paul E. Lauffer; and two sisters, Juanita Morris and Burnadine Liebert.

Surviving Catherine are five daughters, Sandra K. Gray of Martins Ferry, Cheryl Guio and her husband Gary of Weirton, Dana Williams and her husband William of Oklahoma, Beverly Quinn and her fiancé David Mozingo of Moundsville, and Bonnie Bennett and her husband Keith Hawks of Colorado; two brothers, William R. Lauffer of Wheeling, and Charles Daniel Lauffer of Wheeling; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Friday February 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St, Elm Grove, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Gary Naegele as celebrant. Interment in Mt Calvary Cemetery.
