Even though my daughter and I lived far away, Aunt Freda always remembered to send us a card or note on special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, milestones, etc. Some of my very fondest childhood memories are of spending time with Aunt Freda and the letters she would send me as I was growing up. I remember her feeding the cardinals on her dining room windowsill, and a fluffy white cat (Pepe?)she had when I was only 5. She would tell me stories of her life, and after I lost my grandmother (her sister Olga), she shared her experience of the day Grandma Kerkuta passed. Thank you, Aunt Freda, for your gentleness of spirit to all living things, and your kindness to a shy, quiet child.

So very sorry for your sadness.. Delite..your Mom was such a funny, witty lady & she loved her Grandchildren..and then their children...I remember the many birthday parties at your house with her & "Pelley" & so many laughs along the way. And then..not one time did she forget to send me her handwritten Christmas wishes throughout the many years. I know how much you all loved her..and I know how much you'll miss her...God bless and comfort you and yours...With Love...Vickie

Aunt Dee was not only my aunt but a best friend and someone that I could confine in during the years I needed her most.
I will miss our phone conversations and finding things made in the NW that I could send to her for Christmas. I always enjoyed that type of shopping for her and then placing things all wrapped into some type of wooden box as she loved things made of wood.
I didn't get to see her often but we made up for it on the phone. I will miss her terribly but I know she is at rest and home with her family who all went before her.
