Cremation is a form of disposition, just like a burial. A common misconception is that there is no need for funeral services when cremation is chosen. However, when a person is cremated, it is very important to have a traditional service or memorial service to help the family and friends acknowledge grief, find closure, and begin the healing process.

Traditional, rental, and cremation caskets are available to meet this need. When the funeral service is over, the body is taken to the crematory instead of the cemetery. A graveside service can be scheduled after the cremation.

After cremation, there are many options for disposition of the cremated body. There is a known psychological value to have a place to visit and remember. Some of the more common disposition choices are:

• Burial in a cemetery plot or favorite location
• Entombment in a mausoleum or columbarium
• Kept at home in a special place
• Placement in a piece of jewelry
• Scattered on the ground, water, or air

Regardless of which disposition style you select, all of our Cremation Services offer the following Standard options:
